Masters Degree Checklist

DCU-DkIT Graduate School -2017/2018

Postgraduate research students seeking admission to the postgraduate research register from 1st September 2014 will be registered as DkIT students but will be working towards Dublin City University (DCU) awards through the DCU-DkIT Graduate School framework. All exisiting students will be working towards Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) awards (as before).

Requirements for applications can be found below

  1. Completed and signed application form -  Application for Admission to the Postgraduate Research Register 2017-2018
  2. Detailed Research proposal
  3. Independent testimonial (signed) OR Proof of funding (signed) – independently and expertly assessed.
  4. Independent certification that the research project is within the scope for which research programme approval on a case by case basis has been granted to the Institute (passed by Academic Council in September 2012).
  5. Supervisor CV’s (principal, co-supervisor, mentoring supervisor (if applicable).
  6. Resource Declaration (signed)
  7. Ethical Approval (if applicable)
  8. Postgraduate research agreement (funded or non-funded)
  9. Candidate qualifications - notarised copy of parchment(s) and transcript(s) of results
  10. Certification of English Language Proficiency (applicants whose first language is not English and who have not been educated through the medium of English).

Note: The above requirements would also apply if an application is for direct entry to a doctoral degree.
