Research at DkIT is supported through the Research and Postgraduate Offices. The Research and Postgraduate teams are responsible for the operational management and implementation of the Institute’s Research Strategy.

The Research and Postgraduate teams are responsible for the operational management and implementation of the Institute’s Research Strategy, ensuring adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the DCU-DkIT Academic Regulations and providing ongoing transferable skills training to the Institute’s Research community.

As the Head of Research at DkIT, Tim leads the Research and Postgraduate Offices and is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the Institute’s Research Strategy. He represents DkIT’s Research interests in both National and International fora.

Orla Lynch

Research Projects Officer

Orla supports the DkIT Research community in their funding pursuits at all career stages. She provides our researchers with specialised knowledge and guidance on the process of securing research funding. Orla is responsible for identifying appropriate future Research Funding streams, ensuring that all Research proposals are competitive. She is also the Institute’s liaison with all external Funding Bodies and Research Bodies.

Aideen Gaynor

Postgraduate Officer

As DkIT’s Postgraduate Officer, Aideen provides specialised support to the Institute’s postgraduate community at all stages of their degree, from registration to thesis submission and conferral. She also provides assistance to our more experienced researchers in the recruitment of early-stage researchers and students.

Research Administration Officer

Mary supports postgraduate and research supervisory training programmes, internal research funding calls and the institute’s research management system on behalf of the Research Office

Ciara O'Shea

Ciara O'Shea

Athena SWAN Project Co-ordinator

Ciara has responsibility for taking the lead and coordinating the activities in support of the Athena SWAN Bronze Award application process under the direction of the Chair of the Athena Swan Project.  Ciara is responsible for managing all administrative processes, collation of data and providing support to the Self-Assessment team and its working groups on preparing the Institute’s submission.
