The judging panel included Bill Malone, Head of Content Virgin Media Television, Alan Esslemont, TG4 Director General and Dee Forbes, RTÉ Director General.

Programme Director, Lorcan Dunne, speaking about this success,

"I am thrilled for the students, lecturers and supervisors. It's fantastic to get this recognition by industry leaders. Awards such as this one gives us confidence in the work we are producing and hopefully leads to necessary investment in our course, which is essential for its continued success."

The winners from the Republic of Ireland Awards will go forward for judging in the Royal Television Society Finals in London in June.
