DkIT WELCOME College of Sanctuary Project proudly displays local artist works

01 December 2018

On November 13th, the DkIT WELCOME College of Sanctuary project proudly displayed original art work by local artist and Carroll Village resident, Joe Odiboh, as part of the DkIT Careers Fair.

Based on a mission to promote DkIT as an organization inclusive of refugees in the community, the WELCOME (We Link Community and Education) College of Sanctuary project is working to implement the philosophies of Universities of Sanctuary.

DkIT is a creative and vibrant institution in the local community and the WELCOME College of Sanctuary project are delighted to host our very active member Joe Odiboh to enhance our Careers Fair with his original art work,’ stated Dr. Bernadette Brereton (co-leader of the project). ‘Joe’s work shows the diverse creativity of refugees in the community and we are honoured that he is sharing it with the community of DkIT."

This will hopefully be the first of many fruitful collaborations between local refugees and the DkIT WELCOME College of Sanctuary project.
