DkIT students into Top 50 of Enterprise Ireland Competition

Three DkIT students and their new business venture ideas have been shortlisted for the next round of the Enterprise Ireland’s Student Entrepreneur Awards Competition.

The trio, Kevin Carolan (Communications in Creative Media), Paul Kelly (Multimedia Web Development 4) and Eng Jet Yeo (Sustainable Design Engineering 4), and their new business venture pitches, have been placed in the Top 50 submissions into this year’s competition. The three ideas range from a hoverboard that is based on air cushion theory, a web application that links people with spare space to offer to those who need it, and a product that provides a neat and convenient way to store your headphones and/or other cables.

The students, who are being supported in their applications by their academic staff and personnel within the Regional Development Centre, must now submit a business plan by Friday, April 28th to Enterprise Ireland to be in with a chance of claiming a portion of the €30,000 on offer.

We wish Kevin, Paul and Eng well in the next round.
