DkIT Students Have Michelin Stars in Their Eyes
25 March 2024Dundalk Institute of Technology were absolutely thrilled to welcome back on campus Stefan McEnteer, a graduate who was recently announced as the recipient of a prestigious Michelin Star as Head Chef in The Bishop's Buttery in Cashel Palace Hotel.
Stefan McEnteer who hails from Kingscourt, Co Cavan, graduated from DKIT with a Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts in May 2015. Stefan kindly returned to DkIT and got to spend some time with the BA in Culinary Arts year 1 students. He chatted about his career to date and enquired about the student’s career plans and aspirations.
He also spent time with the BA Culinary Arts Year 3 students who were running their Pop-Up Restaurant. He spoke to this group about their menu and the work they had put into it. The students also had the pleasure of cooking for Stefan as he dined on campus with students and staff for lunch and dinner. His feedback was extremely positive, and he was very impressed with the standard of food and service.
