DkIT Honours Computing Students Selected For European Projects

15 December 2016

22 students from DkIT’s Department of Visual & Human-Centred Computing have been selected to participate in two European projects.

12 second-year students from the BSc (Honours) in Computing in Games Development will travel to Porto (Portugal) from the 14th-25th February. There, they will work with students from Portugal, Belgium, Poland and Finland in creating computer games. The students will focused their work on creating serious games that explore the issues of freedom, gender equality and peace within a European context.

Separately, ten second-year students from the BSc (Honours) in Computing will travel to Lens (France) from the 27th February until 4th March. These students will work with French students to create mobile apps within a one-week intensive timeframe. In preparation for this project, three colleagues from DkIT’s partner college in Lens travelled to Dundalk during November to deliver a set of Master classes on cutting-edge web app technologies.
