DkIT explore opportunities with East Coast Bakehouse

This week representatives from the Regional Development Centre, the School of Business & Humanities, the School of Health & Science and the Work Placement Office at DkIT visited the team at East Coast Bakehouse to explore potential synergies across student placements, student projects and research with this innovative start-up.

With a significant investment from an experienced co-founding team, East Coast Bakehouse is based in Drogheda Co. Louth and boast state-of-the-art facilities for the production of a range of their own brand and white labelled biscuit products. With a significant headcount of 34 and high growth potential, the new venture is a welcome addition to a county steeped in entrepreneurship and food production.

During the visit, the team met with entrepreneur, Alison Cowzer of Dragon's Den who is also the Marketing and Innovation Manager of East Coast Bakehouse.
