DkIT Academics Awarded Visiting Professorships
08 February 2024Dundalk Institute of Technology are proud to report that two of their esteemed academics, Dr Maeve McArdle and Dr Brian Boyd were awarded visiting professorships by Prof Ralf Dillerup to Heilbronn University Graduate School in Germany. This prestigious invitation presents an opportunity for Dr McArdle and Dr Boyd to visit and lecture in the Graduate School. Dundalk Institute of Technology has a long-standing partnership with Heilbronn University, and the MBS programme in the School of Business and Humanities in DkIT have collaborated on a joint module in Business Strategy for the past 15 years. This collaboration has resulted in DkIT receiving three impressive Irish Education Awards, the most recent in 2023.
The Heilbronn University Graduate School in Germany has recently been awarded AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) which is a global business accreditation. This significant accreditation is a rigorous multi-year process to reach the necessary standards requiring excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation, research in teaching and learning.
Maeve and Brian have both worked with Heilbronn University Graduate School (HUGS) for many years in a collaborative capacity including teaching Strategy, International Marketing and Research Methods. Dr Maeve McArdle said of receiving the visiting professorships
