Culture Night 2017 at DkIT
08 September 2017The Library at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), is delighted to announce its Culture Night 2017 programme, which will take place on 22nd September from 2-4.30pm on campus. Activities include:
- Banned Books Display: members of the public are invited to browse the books that ran foul of the censor in the past. The exhibition examines what censorship means in a globalized age. Surprising and thought-provoking, this is a display not to be missed.
- A Picture Paints A Thousand Words: The canvas on Floor One of the Library is devoted to the theme ‘What does Culture Mean to Me?’. Attendees are invited to pick up a paintbrush and set their imagination loose.
- Culture Café: the programme highlight, invitees are invited to attend the event and participate in five-minute ‘discussion rounds’ on the overarching theme ‘Is the Book Dead?’ The Discussion Rounds commence on 22nd September at 2:30pm.
Members of the public of all ages are invited to attend the Culture Night Celebrations and the DkIT Library team look forward to welcoming you on the night. For all enquiries, please contact +353-0429370310 or email library@dkit.ie.
