Leaders: Ian Jones (UK), Biel Obrador (ES)
The aim of this Working Group was to collate existing data processing and modelling tools, develop selected new tools, and use these to undertake analyses of data sets from lakes monitored by those participating in the The WG focused on policy-relevant case studies suggested by WG 4, while the toolbox includes tools suitable for use by researchers and managers. Methods include procedures for estimating lake metabolism based on high resolution dissolved oxygen data, and quantifying heat fluxes from lakes. This group also organised a Training School on the analysis of high resolution data sets in association with WG 1.
Deliverables
- Collate and develop tools for managers and scientists to derive a series of lake attributes.
- Peer reviewed paper on lake metabolism in the management of lakes.
