Training Schools

Training Schools

Training Schools in COST Actions are aimed at widening the knowledge of the Action activities, providing intensive training on a new and emerging subject and offering familiarisation with unique equipment or know-how in one of the laboratories of the Action. Those attending a Training School are typically – but not exclusively – young researchers from across Europe. The duration of a Training School is normally between three days and two weeks.

NETLAKE is planning to hold four Training Schools as part of the COST Action.  Working Group 1 and Working Group 2 will organise two Training Schools on data handing and standard operating protocols. Working Group 3 will also organise two Training Schools which will be focused on the citizen science project for local end-users. Early Stage Researchers will be encouraged to act as tutors in Training Schools thus gaining experience in communicating sensor-based lake science to the public.
