NETLAKE STSM 2015 to Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, UK

High-frequency datasets from about thirty European lakes provided by all Netlakers will be collated, and mixing events will be detected and analysed based of the implementation of a method previously developed by Ian Jones and Ellie Mackay (CEH, UK). We will develop the statistical detections of mixing events and test their performances in a representative set of lakes. An R-script will be written and could thereafter be made available as a NETLAKE deliverable. Frequencies and duration of mixing events in all the lakes for which we obtained the datasets will be then compiled, and the role of meteorological conditions, in relation to lake location and geomorphology, will be evaluated. We are aiming at a presentation of our outputs by next NETLAKE meeting in Evian, France.
