NETLAKE STSM to Estonian University of Life Sciences, host Dr Alo Laas.

As there is little knowledge on new sensor technologies for in-situ monitoring of lakes in Latvia, the aim of this short-term scientific visit in August 2014 was to gain experience from Estonian researchers on how to establish such platforms.  The visit included fieldwork, with the deployment of CO2 and O2 sensors in Lake Saadjarv and Lake Erastvere.  The platforms on Lake Vortsjarv were also visited.  The last two days of STSM were devoted to analysis of high-frequency data. Programs such as Data Standardizer and B3 were used for data transformation and for checking of data quality, while metabolism calculations were also undertaken.
