Public Access

Information for adult members of the public who want to visit the library at DkIT.

COVID-19 Library Update:

The Institute’s campus is currently closed. We are therefore not in a position to offer access to external members or members of the public.

During term time students have priority to the library space and resources. Adult members of the public are welcome to visit the Library at off-peak times, after 5 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and any time during the summer.

During this time you can study in the Library, consult books and materials on site. Members of the public 18 years and over can also get Wi-Fi and PC/internet access. Please note that you may be asked for ID and proof of age.

Children in the Library

DkIT has a Child Protection Policy in place and children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Access to high-risk areas is by prior arrangement only. If you bring children into the Library please supervise them at all times and ensure that they are not left alone.

We offer membership to those aged 18 years and over. Members can borrow 8 items at any time, including CDs and DVDs, excluding short loan and 4 day loan items.
