The Library can provide students and staff of DkIT with a Letter of Introduction, with which you should be able to visit another library for one day.

The MusicPAL access card will allow you to visit and make use of the facilities at any of the libraries participating in the Music PAL scheme.

Visit Another Library

The Library can provide students and staff of DkIT with a Letter of Introduction, with which you should be able to visit another library for one day. However, the letter will not guarantee access. You are advised to contact libraries before visiting or check their website for visiting information.  

We can also provide students and staff with a Partners Reader Card, which will allow you to visit another Institute of Technology (excluding DIT) for the duration of the time you are registered here.

Students and staff of DkIT can also become members of the Louth County Libraries free of charge under the 1 Card 6 Libraries initiative.

You can apply online for a Letter of Introduction or Partners Reader Card. Alternatively, download, print and complete the print application form below and return it to the Library Information Desk. We ask that you allow at least 1 working day for applications to be processed.

MusicPAL

MusicPAL makes music resources in a broad range of libraries throughout Ireland easily accessible to all.

Students and staff of DkIT who are studying or teaching music can apply for a Music PAL Access Card. The Access Card will allow you to visit and make use of the facilities at any of the libraries participating in the Music PAL scheme

There are many books freely available in full or in part from Google Books and Project Gutenberg.
