Visitors to DkIT can avail of some Library services and resources. Click on the links below for details. We also host occasional talks and events open to all.

Access for Members of the Public

Adult members of the public are welcome to visit the Library at off-peak times, after 5 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and any time during the summer.

Secondary School Students

The Library offers an Information Skills programme for Secondary School class groups. Secondary school students over the age of 18 are also welcome to use the Library at off-peak and quiet times.

Children in the Library

Under DkIT policy anyone under 18 years of age is considered a child and cannot use the Library unless they are supervised by an adult.

PCs, Wi-Fi and Printers

Members of the public over the age of 18 can request a temporary username and password at the Library Information Desk. You will be asked for photo ID every time you wish to use a PC or Wi-Fi. This applies to external Library members also.

Becoming a Member of DkIT Library

We offer membership to those over the age of 18. Members can borrow 7 items at any one time, including DVDs and CDs. 4 Day Loan and Short Loan items may not be borrowed.

The Reading Group

The Reading Group usually meets from 1 pm to 3 pm every first Wednesday of each month in the Anaverna Room on Floor 2 of the Library. There are no meetings during the summer.
