Learners will be facilitated to:

• look at how value is shown in an academic context
• explore the value in an academic context of popular versus scholarly information and how referencing impacts on this
• why citing and referencing matters
• understand how the Harvard Referencing System demonstrates value
• understand what plagiarism is

2. Scholarship as Conversation
    Learners will have an opportunity to understand:

• Role of referencing and citation in making a conversation scholarly

3. And practically learners will:

• Know where to find support on Harvard Referencing and the location of subject guides
• How to cite and reference using the DkIT Harvard referencing guidelines
