An exciting event took place on the 23rd April as part of a School Research Showcase Day in the School of Informatics and Creative Arts. It was a Thesis-in-3 competition where the postgraduate research students in the School had three minutes to communicate their work to a panel of judges from outside the School and to a general audience. Seventeen research students from Music, Computing and Creative Media took part in the quick-fire competition and they were judged on the content and clarity of their presentation and their charisma in presenting. There were two categories, with the prize-winners being:
Postgraduates of less than one year:
1st Prize: Ceara Tracey
2nd Prize: Peter Rust
Postgraduates for more than one year:
1st Prize: Jia Lin
2nd Prize: Gilbert Regan
Congratulations to the prize-winners and thanks to all who took part. It proved to be a high standard of competition with an excellent set of presentations that made life difficult for the judging team in choosing the winners.
