Erasmus+ Opportunities For Staff

Applications are invited from Academic and Non-Academic Staff members who would be interested in training in one of our partner institutions within the EU/EEA.
Calls for applications are issued on an annual basis. For more information on the opportunities available, please contact noreen.carney@dkit.ie.

ERASMUS+ teaching mobilities are carried out at one of the Institute's European partner colleges where an inter-institutional agreement is in place. Mobilities are between 2 - 5 days. Minimum teaching requirement is 8 hours. Staff are encouraged to carry out additional, related work such as promotion of programmes to students, and individual or group facilitation where requested.
Teaching mobilities are intended to promote the sharing of best practice in pedagogy and to enable students to benefit from international teaching expertise.

In the case of a staff mobility from an enterprise, the invitation is issued by the contact person at DkIT.

The partner college (or enterprise) agrees programme content with the staff member beforehand, approved by DkIT Head of Department.
A DkIT panel adjudicates on expressions of interest forms received.

Selected staff will receive a travel and subsistence grant post-mobility on receipt of documentation as required by the National Agency for Erasmus+ (HEA). Grant payments are managed by DkIT International Office. The grant awarded is a pre-approved, fixed amount.
ERASMUS+ (non-teaching) mobilities are carried out at one of the Institute's European partner colleges, where an inter-institutional agreement is in place, or in a suitable enterprise. Non-teaching mobilities must be a minimum of 2 days duration. They provide staff with an opportunity for professional training, job-shadowing and/or participation in Erasmus+ Staff Development Weeks.
