Consultations
Queries in relation to specific module results should be brought to Consultation. Consultation details as follows:
School of Health & Science
- All Departments: Friday 22nd September 2023
- Students should email the lecturer(s) to make an appointment for modules they wish to discuss (incl. any failed modules).
- Consultations may be online or face-to-face, whichever is more suitable/convenient for both lecturer and student.
School of Business & Humanities
- All Departments: Friday 22nd September 2023
- Students should email the lecturer(s) to make an appointment to discuss their performance on their modules at a Consultation Meeting. Every student who has failed a module should now contact their lecturer to discuss how to repeat the module or to take any missed assessments. This is the responsibility of the student to arrange a meeting on this day.
- Consultations may take place online or face-to-face, whichever is more suitable/convenient for both lecturer and student.
School of Engineering
- All Departments: Friday 22nd September 2023
- 10 am-12 pm
- Students should email the lecturer(s) to make an appointment for modules they wish to discuss (incl. any failed modules). Consultations may be online or face-to-face, whichever is more suitable/convenient for both lecturer and student.
School of Informatics & Creative Arts
- Department of Computing Science & Mathematics – Friday 22nd September 2023 in-person – IT Learning Centre from 10.30 am – 11.30 am
- Department of Creative Arts, Media & Music – Students to make an appointment with their lecturer.
- Department of Visual & Human-Centred Computing - Students are to make an appointment with their lecturer.
Registering for Repeats
- If you wish to retake any failed modules during the 2023/2024 Academic Year, you must register and pay online between the 2nd of October and the 3rd of November 2023.
- You can register using the Reapply link at the bottom of your results online.
- Please note that if you are not in a position to pay straight away you can still register and pay afterwards using the Account Information option in Self Service. You will NOT be able to pay on the results page if you do not do this initially.
- N.B. You must register for all subjects you have failed, including final exams, placement/internship, 100% CA, practicals, projects, etc. to ensure the results can be processed.
- The cost for repeating is €50 regardless of how many modules you need to repeat.
- Any applications after the 3rd of November may not be accepted. An additional €50 late registration (total €100) will be applied to all late registrations. Please note that if you have not registered for your repeat examination your module may not be timetabled and/or your name will not appear on the examination seating plan. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are registered and the Examination Office accepts no responsibility for students who are not registered sitting an incorrect examination paper.

Rechecks / Appeals

The closing date for appeals for the August 2023 exam session is 4 p.m. on Monday 29th September 2023.
