You Can Be The Change... ‌As 3rd Level Students and Staff Across Ireland Stand Together

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. This year DkIT are delighted to partner nationally with all of Ireland's Higher Education Institutes as we collectively collaborate to bring awareness onto every campus in Ireland to help eradicate ‌Gender-Based Violence in all our communities and society.

Attend our Events, Participate in Campus Activities, Have Conversations with On Campus Experts, and Share Our Social Media! Just bring your appetite for food and knowledge. Get a free lunch whilst finding out about how we all can make a change to help eradicate Gender Based Violence. See below.

RiVeR Project

Join DkIT's groundbreaking RiVeR Project for FREE Lunch & Learn about Domestic Sexual and Gender- Based Violence (DSGBV) with ‘RiVeR Rapid Responses’ live Vevox poll. Everyone will also receive FREE gift bags and a chance to win 5 x €20 Golden Tickets. 

No registration is required but places are offered on a ‘first come’ basis.

Men's Development Network

Join the award winning Men's Development Network & White Ribbon Ireland for this not to be missed FREE Lunch and Learn. Beyond the Man Box: Redefining Masculinities and Strength for Healthy Relationships’, with a focus on how men can have an active role in preventing Gender-Based violence.

Lunch is being kindly supplied by N-TUTORR

Participate in Other Events

Please participate in other events and workshops which will be popping up all over the campus, including a screening of 'Love Bomb', a video focused on coercive control with Q&A sessions. We will have information stands on campus from Women's Aid Dundalk, Rape Crisis North East, An Garda Síochána, 'Too Into You' along with much, much more.
