On Wednesday 11th May, the inaugural Awards for Research Excellence where held in the Regional Development Centre. DkIT President Ann Campbell presented awards to Dr Mark Hollywood and Dr Daithí Kearney to recognise and celebrate their research activity and careers.
Last Friday, May 27th at the National College of Ireland, the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and AHECS, the Association of Higher Education Careers Services hosted a collaborative workshop on Inspiring Teaching and Transforming Learning for Employability.
The US visitors are the first students to complete DkIT’s new Certificate in Cultural Landscapes which explores the archaeological and historical heritage of Newgrange and the Boyne Valley.
Every year on June 15th an event called Global Wind Day occurs when wind farm owners all over the world open their wind farms to the general public and provide information about their wind farms and wind energy.
Piano accordion and mandolin players Dr Adèle Commins and Dr Daithí Kearney will present programmes of traditional music informed by rich scholarly research interspersed with new compositions in the traditional idiom at the Robert de Sorbon Library at the University of Reims this June.
The Mini Chef Summer School 2016 will take place from Monday 11th - 15th July and from Monday 18th – 22nd July.
