Children in the Library

DkIT has a Child Protection Policy, which can be viewed online. Institute Buildings are not designed for children under 16. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Access to high-risk areas is by prior arrangement only.

Children are not allowed to use the PCs, Wi-Fi or other library services. Adult supervisors are expected to care for, supervise, and ensure that the behavior of children is appropriate. Children cannot be allowed to walk around the Library or the Institute without an adult supervisor.

If you bring children into the Library please supervise them at all times and ensure that they are not left alone. Parents of children unsupervised will not be allowed to use the Library and will have access rights withdrawn.

These restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of children.  For further information see DkIT's Child Protection Policy.
