Intermediate BIM including Model Co-ordination
Course Overview
This one semester Level 6 certified programme develops and deepens students existing knowledge of architectural based Revit and enables them to link models from a range of disciplines.
It uses the process of designing a building collaboratively using a coherent system of linked discipline models. It brings together the different disciplines within a project to work on one "active" model to greatly enhance coordination.
The student shall be able to create linked BIM models and operate the software in an efficient and effective manner.
Career Opportunities
Completing the programme will develop the student as a CAD technician.
CAD technicians are employed by companies and organisations in various sectors, e.g. construction, electrical, piping, structural and mechanical engineering, manufacturing, woodwork and metalwork, local authorities and architectural consultants and work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors and building surveyors.
