- Creation of a simple assembly
- Basic Sheet metal development
One class of three hours per week for 7 weeks 6.30pm - 9.30pm (Mondays)
CAD technicians are employed by companies and organisations in various sectors, e.g. construction, structural and mechanical engineering, manufacturing, local authorities and architectural consultants. They generally work as part of an engineering, design or development team to produce the detailed 2D drawings and 3D models required at the various stages of a project’s design and implementation. They work closely with engineers, technicians, suppliers, quantity surveyors and clients.
There are no formal entry requirements but basic computing skills (e.g. use of Windows) will be necessary
This course is for any person wishing to gain knowledge of 3D modelling for use in product design, mechanical or manufacturing environments. There is no requirement to have any previous CAD knowledge.
