Course Summary

This programme is a 30-credit Level 7 Special Purpose Award that will allow participants to explore the key concepts, theories and skills needed to develop their businesses effectively. Their extensive exposure to and practical ‘hands-on’ use of leading industry frameworks and methodologies, coupled with relevant theoretical underpinnings, will mean that students will be instantly ready apply their learning.

The focus of these carefully chosen modules along with an applied pedagogical emphasis is a powerful and unique combination whihc will have a swift, positive impact in the delivery of the Boyne Valley Food Strategy.

The course will be delivered one afternoon/ evening per week over 12 weeks per semester for two semesters. The programme is delivered through a range of lectures, lab classes, seminars and guest lecture workshops. 

The aim of this course is to support learners to fulfill their potential and make a significant contribution to the area of food tourism operating in an ever-changing competitive environment.

The course fee is €1,600 per year. The fee is payable as follows:

  • Application Fee = €50 (Non-refundable if you are made an offer of a course place)
  • Accept Offer Fee = €100 (non-refundable)
  • Instalment 1 of €650 is payable by 31st October 2019
  • Instalment 2 of €800 is payable by 28th February 2020

Applicants should already hold a Level 6 award in any discipline.

Applicants who will be 23 years of age on January 1st of the year of application and who do not have the academic qualifications will be interviewed.
