This 10-week course uses an innovative blend of real-world situations and problems to assist participants in exploring the opportunities of the digital environment. Participants will explore various social media platforms, website technologies (including mobile), analysis tools and much more in developing a toolbox of skills that is valuable and readily usable in a B2C and B2B environment.
On completion of this course, successful student will be able to:
- Apply digital marketing techniques to solve problems in real-life business and professional situations
- Create effective digital marketing strategies
- Integrate social media campaigns into larger digital marketing strategies
- Implement effective digital marketing campaigns over a variety of platforms and media
- Take control of their online presence and manage their online reputation
- Engage different audiences on a variety of social media platforms
- Keep their digital marketing skills up-to-date using prescribed online resources.
This course will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Social Media, Online Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation

- Local Search, Local Profiles, Google Maps
- Using Wordpress to create your own websites
- Blogs and Blogging

- Website Analytics / Webmaster Tools, Data visualisation, split testing, tracking goals and conversions
One class (on Thursdays) of two hours per week for 10 weeks running 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
