The programme will provide learners with a solid grounding in Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Autodesk’s Revit Architecture. Students use Revit Architecture to learn about building information modelling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation.
This course offers metric hands-on exercises representing real-world design scenarios. The attendees learn the concepts of BIM through the modelling of a basic building, from creating the building to making a window/door and a room schedule, and looking at shadow studies and rendering.
- BIM versus CAD
- Revit interface
- Starting new projects
- Using families (walls, floors, ceilings and roofs)
- Generating sections, views and sheets
- Creating schedule
One class of two and half hours per week for 8 weeks (7.00-9.30pm Thursdays).
You MUST have completed our Computer Aided Design course or be at an equivalent level.
