BSc (Hons) in Food Production
The aim of one-year honours degree add-on course is to enable Level 7 graduates of Agriculture or Agricultural Science to apply their existing skills and knowledge and build on these to develop an understanding of food processing and quality assurance/ safety issues.
Graduates of this course will have skills in food analysis, packaging, processing, agrifood biotechnology, waste management, food chain integrity, lean manufacturing and agri-food product development, enabling them to contribute to the cost-effective development, production and marketing of products in the Agri-Food Industry

Semester 2: (Mandatory)
- Lean: Principles & Methodologies

- Food Packaging and Preservation
Graduates will find employment in the Agri-Food Industry in
- Production Supervision
- Quality Management
- Technical Sales, Analytical
- Food Product Development
- Food Logistics/ Supply Chain roles.
Graduates can progress to the DkIT M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology or to a research M.Sc. or PhD position in DkIT or other Higher Education Institutions.
Entrants should have a BSc in Agriculture, Agricultural Science or a related area with an award mark of at least 50%.
International students must have a minimum level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
