This two year part-time honours degree programme follows on from the level 7 Event Management programme, providing learners with an in-depth knowledge of the Event industry, enhancing superb employment opportunities. You will learn how to critically analyse and solve business problems, make decisions and generate long term business solutions.

This two-year part-time honours degree programme follows on from the level 7 Event Management programme, providing learners with an in-depth knowledge of the Event industry, enhancing superb employment opportunities. You will learn how to critically analyse and solve business problems, make decisions and generate long term business solutions. The programme consists of modules with an emphasis on strategic management in areas of:

→ HRM
→ Business Management
→ Finance
→ Marketing


All of which are brought together in a final research paper.

Course runs over 2 years.
Year One classes run on Mondays from 9.00am to 5.00pm and Tuesdays 9.00am to 12.00pm (subject to change).

The programme is delivered through a mix of classroom based lectures, lab classes and online delivery. 

The programme is designed to enable graduates gain employment in challenging positions within the events industry . Graduates can expect to find employment in management positions with a range of event providers 

Those who successfully complete the programme will be highly employable in the following areas 

  • Event Management Companies 
  • Destination Management Companies 
  • Destination Marketing  
  • Event Production Organisations 
  • Convention Centres 
  • Hotel Events Departments 

Graduates of the programme may progress to further studies at Level 9 either at DkIT or elsewhere. 

Total course fee: €3,000

€1,500 per annum (payable as follows).

Accept Offer Fee: €150 (non-refundable)

Instalment 1 = €600 is payable by 31st October

Instalment 2 = €750 is payable by 28th February

Applicants should hold a level 7 qualification in Event management with a GPA OF 50% or above. Applicants who do not hold a level 7 qualification but have significant work experience can be assessed through the institute RPL process 

Those who hold a Level 7 qualification in Event Management or equivalent.
