The uptake for eduroam in Ireland has been significant, with nearly all the 3rd level colleges already participating or preparing to roll this service out. Access points for this network have a broadcast SSID of ' eduroam'. Access to the internet through eduroam is currently filtered through our main proxy servers, so access is as restricted as using a lab or office PC. Expect blocked pages on occasion.

We run ' wireless.dkit.ie ' and ' eduroam ' side by side on the main campus, encouraging visiting users to use eduroam and staff and students to use the local wireless, where possible. However, you should still configure your device for eduroam for when you are travelling!
