Laura Gargan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Area 52 Research Group at University College Dublin, Ireland. Her primary research interests are in molecular ecology and environmental (e)DNA approaches for assessment and conservation of aquatic habitats. She completed her PhD in UCD in 2018, where her work focussed on development of eDNA techniques, as well as high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics.
