Far more abundant than their cousins, the big lakes, ponds have been underappreciated in scientific studies. As part of the BEYOND2020 project ponds are being studied and the collected data included in international collaborations through the GLEON network.
During the summer 2019 Ph.D. student Maria Caldero Pascual and postdoctoral researcher Mikkel René Andersen joined an international team at the AQUACOSM site at the Middle East Technical University (METU) of Ankara to study the impact of CDOM pulses in lakes.
BEYOND2020 was present at the 2019 FSBI Symposium by Ph.D. student Molly-Ann Williams who won first prize for her presentation. She received a lot of positive feedback, thoroughly enjoyed the symposium and encourage others to go and present their work.
In this COVID-19 edition of the BLOG i talk (remotely) to colleagues and I ask them how they manage to get work done during these times of selfisolation.
And i ask them what kind of challenges they have encountered and how they have overcome them.
