Marja Van Kampen
Marja van Kampen was born in The Netherlands and graduated from the Akademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Arnhem. She moved to Ireland in 1982 and is a co-founder of Artspace Studios, Galway and has participated in many exhibitions in Ireland and abroad. She exhibited in the L’Imaginaire Irlandais in France and represented Ireland in the Aalborg Triennale in Denmark.
A full-time painter and printmaker her work is in many public collections including The Arts Council of Ireland, Office of Public Works, Mayo County Council, Microsoft Irish Art Collection, AIB and more. Some of her very large works are in the Radisson Hotel Collection and the University College Hospital Galway Collection. She has received Arts Council Awards and a Travel Award from the Department of Foreign Affairs for a solo exhibition in France.
