Personal Data

DkIT collects personal data as part of its normal day to day activities. Data protection / information security is an integral part of the Dundalk Institute of Technology's operations to ensure continuity of business activity and legal compliance with Data Protection Act (1988) and the Data Protection (Amendment) Act (2003).

The Institute must use and manage data according to the guiding principles as set out by the data protection commissioner to comply with the data protection legislation .

DkIT is the Data Controller responsible for the management of that personal data and ensures that any information exchanged with third parties who provide services for or on behalf of Dundalk IT  or who Dundalk IT provide information as per statutory reporting requirements complies with data protection legislation accordingly.
