Welcome to the Department of Life & Health Sciences in the School of Health and Science at DkIT.

The Department of Life and Health Sciences has developed a strong reputation for the education and training of highly skilled graduates in the life and health sciences fields. Our experienced lecturers create a positive environment for learning and enable students to achieve their goals.

Students are provided with a combination of theory and practical skills. There is work placement experience in a number of the programmes, providing students with highly valued, relevant skills and experiences for their future careers.

Graduates of our programmes are able to actively contribute to advancements in the areas of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and environmental science, health science, physical activity and well-being, development, resource management, diagnostics, knowledge generation and research.
