Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) is hosting an important one day conference entitled ‘The Changing Landscape of Domestic Abuse – a Multiagency Perspective’ at the DkIT campus on Tuesday 29th October 2019. The aim of the conference is to reflect on the changes in the area of Domestic Abuse nationally, contextualise the current situation and look at the future provision of services.

DkIT is the centre of excellence for education in the area of Domestic Abuse in Ireland and we have been offering the first accredited level 8 programme in Domestic Abuse since 2016 - the Certificate in the Fundamentals of Understanding and Responding to Domestic Abuse.

The Changing Landscape of Domestic Abuse Conference is so much more than another conference, it's an opportunity for you to hear from industry experts covering topics like trauma-informed care, implementing the law in the area of Domestic Abuse, intimate partner violence as well as a multiagency panel discussion.

The conference will showcase the ongoing partnership between DkIT and the multiagencies involved in the development and delivery of this programme. Conference speakers will include graduates from the DkIT programme who will outline how it impacted on their practice.
